But what happens if you will face issues even after completing the Blink Security Camera Setup. Well, don’t panic! In this blog, you will get to know How To Setup Blink Outdoor Camera and troubleshoot the Blink camera that won’t connect to the WiFi issue.

If you are facing issues in connecting your Blink camera to WiFi even after Blink Outdoor Camera setup, go through the below troubleshooting tricks to resolve the issue:

Method 1: Reboot Router

The first step is to refresh the WiFi connection by rebooting the router. If there is a power button in your router, turn it off and then turn it on after waiting for some time. If the router is without the power button, unplug it from the power source and plug it in again after 30 seconds. After that, try to connect your Blink camera again to WiFi to check whether the issue is resolved or not. If not, go to the next step.

Method 2: Check you are connected to the supporting WiFi brand

The user may face difficulties connecting Blink cameras to home WiFi when their router is operating on the 5GHz band. Blink camera supports a 2.4GHz wireless network. So, if your router is operating on the 5GHz band, change it to 2.4GHz.

Method 3: Place your router nearer to Blink Camera

When the WiFi routers are placed nearer to the connected devices, they work better. So, if you face difficulty in connecting a Blink camera to WiFi, try to place the router closer to the camera. After that, check whether the issue is resolved or not.

Method 4: Set up a WiFi extender in your home

Sometimes, the Blink camera may not connect to WiFi even after placing the router nearer to it. It may happen because of low WiFi signal strength. By installing the WiFi extender in your home, you can boost the signal strength of your WiFi. For better results, plug your extender into the wall socket between the Blink camera and router. It will collect signals from the router and transmit them to the Blink camera.

Method 5: Install a Mesh WiFi

Another way apart from WiFi extender setup to improve the Blink camera WiFi signal strength is to install a Mesh WiFi network. A Mesh WiFi network treats each connected device as a node and allows it to generate WiFi signals. In the Mesh WiFi network, the primary node works as a gateway by connecting to the internet via modem. The router collects wireless signals from the modem and transmits them to other devices such as Blink cameras. It helps in improving the signal strength of your WiFi network.

With the above steps, you can easily resolve the issues with your Blink Security Camera that you may face even after completing the Blink Outdoor Camera setup without any hassle.
